Financial Accountant
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Financial Accountant to support the finance function of a growing international distribution group with multiple European subsidiaries. The role will support monthly management accounts preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, multi-entity VAT compliance, inventory accounting, and group consolidation processes.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing monthly management accounts.
Post accruals, prepayments, and month-end journals.
Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare and reconcile European VAT returns and Intrastat reports.
Reconcile inventory between CIN7, Xero and stock valuation
Reconcile intercompany balances and support consolidation adjustments.
Support system improvements and financial process controls.
Key Skills & Experience
Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
Multi-entity experience in distribution, stockholding, or product-based businesses.
Current working experience of VAT principles in UK & Europe.
Strong balance sheet reconciliation experience.
Working experience of Xero.
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS.
Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
